#ThingsILearnedSeries: Collaborative ICT Development
#JhoanasJHOurnal
Collaborative ICT Development is the last topic we discussed for the first semester. Online collaboration is emphasized in this topic, which is timely in our status quo. As everyone knows, since the pandemic started, most things have shifted online from classes, work, meetings, kwentuhans, and shopping. Name it all. It has dominated the internet. Now, since we cannot elude that we need collaboration in every aspect of life, and there are physical restrictions that the government implemented, developers have also paved the way for teamwork, partnership, and cooperation to be possible while observing social distancing and health protocols. By what means? Web conference and online collaboration.
Web Conference
A web conference is an online service by which you can hold live meetings, conferencing, presentations, and training via the internet. This provides many advantages as it allows discussions with team members and clients from anywhere globally who can access the internet. Moreover, with the features of conference platforms such as screen sharing, built-in whiteboards, and sharing files, people can achieve collaboration even with the imposed restrictions posed by the pandemic.

Online Collaboration
Online collaboration is connecting users digitally to communicate in an online space. It is usually supplemented using a software system that allows team members to chat using video, audio, and text. Examples of online collaboration tools include Google docs, Google sheets, Google slides, G Suite, Facebook groups, and Microsoft Office Online. These online collaboration tools help achieve optimal communication among team members during projects and expand their creative output as its file storage feature creates opportunities for teams to work together in a streamlined environment.
