#JhoanasJHOurnal
The next topic we discussed is Basic Web Page Creation. The highlight of this topic shows how to create a web page and how to design and organize it according to the basic web design principles. As we all know, we are already familiar with the concepts of the design principles as our teacher tackled it in our previous lesson, Image and Design.
So, what are these Basic Web Design Principles? and why are they essential in creating a webpage?
Balance
Balance gives a design its form and stability. It should help the viewer look through the content and aid comprehension.

Proximity
Proximity describes the relationships between elements within a design based on their distance.

Focus
Focus causes a particular part of the design to stand out compared to the other elements. Contrarily, it is also used to minimize how much a detail stands out.

White Spaces

White Spaces refer to areas of a design with no elements. This is essential in making a design neat and making elements stand out.
Unity
Unity shows how the elements of design work together. Each element should have a clear visual relationship to help convey a clear and concise message.

Alignment
Alignment creates a sharp, ordered design appearance by ensuring the various elements have a good connection with each other.

Applying these design principles contributes to creating a good and effective website design because a well-designed website fulfills its intended purpose in giving an engaging user experience by ensuring that the website’s interface is optimized for usability and functionality.
